The first plenary meeting of the HYNET Project , hosted by EDF at their headquarters in Fontainebleau, took place from 7 to 8th of April 2025. The two-day event brought together project partners, experts, and stakeholders from across Europe to discuss key work packages (WP) and foster collaboration in advancing AC/DC hybrid power systems.

The meeting began with a comprehensive presentation of WP2, including a detailed description of Demo 1 Guadeloupe and Renardières, France. Following a brief coffee break, attendees moved on to presentations on WP3 and WP4, exploring the technical and strategic aspects of the project.

The first day was followed by updates from WP5, before participants were given an exclusive tour of EDF’s state-of-the-art laboratory, showcasing their cutting-edge research facilities. The day concluded with a group dinner in the picturesque town of Fontainebleau, providing attendees with the opportunity to discuss key takeaways in a more informal setting.

The second day of the meeting opened with a session focused on dissemination communication and exploitation activities, which featured an invited speaker from the THEUS project. This was followed by presentations on WP1, where partners provided further insights into the project’s overarching objectives and timeline.

A general information session set the stage for an open discussion, during which partners shared feedback and ideas for improving project collaboration. The meeting wrapped up with a final discussion, laying the groundwork for the next steps in the project’s development.

This plenary meeting represents a significant milestone for HYNET setting the stage for continued innovation and progress in the development of hydrogen network solutions across Europe.
